The Modular Assembly System

A key element in the overall concept for the development of the “plug and build“ shelters are the Modular Assembly System (MAS) components. These consist of a set of PolyCare manufactured precision engineered building blocks, 15 cm wide, 30 cm high and in a variety of different lengths.

Designed with notches on the bottom, bonnets on top and tongue and groove at the front edges, these stones fit almost seamlessly into one another. 

By simply plugging them together they bond to an extremely high stability level. Screws can be used for temporary construction use, or a  special glue for permanent use. However, both applications easily meet all  European Building Standards. 

A number of other components, for example half-height blocks or special base strips and gable elements complete the program and thus allow the construction of complex structures by unskilled workers without the need for heavy or complicated construction equipment.
